Dr. Mayer-Costa has the experience of working with newborns, toddlers, teens, young and middle-aged adults, and elderly patients. He understands the different needs of each group and works with them accordingly - just as you should expect from a good family doctor.

Cosmetic Services: Dr. Mayer-Costa is certified in cosmetic procedures including Botox and Juverderm fillers and laser services for removal of hair, veins, wrinkles and age spots.

Walk-in Primary Care: With walk-in primary care services, get quick treatment for minor injuries, aches, pains and other non-critical problems. You can also get convenient treatment for sports related ailments, common illnesses and other problems that would generally require more waiting time at the emergency room.

Bio:

Dr. Mayer-Costa has geared his training and experience toward becoming a family doctor. After earning his medical degree, he completed a residency in family medicine with UPMC St. Margaret and rotated between Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Magee Women's Hospital, Mercy Hospital and Western Psychiatric Hospital. He is board certified in family practice and belongs to the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Pennsylvania Medical Society. Simply put, Dr. Mayer-Costa is a family doctor who knows family medicine.

"The nice thing about family medicine is that you can care for several generations of the same family. I have a patient who is 81 years old, and I also see her great-grandson, who is 2. That's one of the great things about being a family doctor," said Dr. Mayer-Costa.

Education: Dr. Mayer-Costa earned his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ, where he concentrated in biomedical sciences. He earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, also located in Newark.
